Four more doctors have died from Covid-19 infection across the country.
In Dhaka, Dr S M Saiful Islam, a diabetes specialist and director of Al Manar Hospital died while receiving treatment at the Anwar Khan Modern Medical College Hospital on Thursday.
Dr Feroza Begum Minu, a private hospital doctor and also an alumnus of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (batch 15) died of Covid-19 on Thursday.
She was admitted at the capital’s Kurmitola General Hospital.
Dr Yunus Ali Khan, an eye specialist, breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the Impulse Hospital on Wednesday night.
In Chittagong, Shahidul Anwar, 60, an eye specialist and a consultant at the Boni Hasan Eye Hospital, lost his battle with coronavirus at the ICU of Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) on Wednesday around 11:45am.
Separate press releases were issued in this regard by the Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) on Thursday evening.
With the latest developments, as of Thursday, a total of 54 doctors have died from coronavirus across Bangladesh.
