DGHS Director Aminul replaces Iqbal as Covid-19 Emergency Response Assistance project director

Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Director (planning and research) Prof Iqbal Kabir’s appointment as the director of the Covid-19 Emergency Response Assistance Project has been cancelled.

The Covid-19 Emergency Response Assistance Project is funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) under the Department of Health.

A notification gazette has been issued in this regard by a presidential order on Thursday.

According to the notification, DGHS Director (hospitals) Dr Aminul Hasan, alongside discharging his current duties, has been appointed as the project director of the Covid-19 Emergency Response Assistance Project in Iqbal Kabir’s stead.

It is to be noted that, on Friday, DGHS Director Dr Iqbal Kabir tested positive for Covid-19. He is now in isolation and receiving treatment.
