At least five people with Covid -19 like symptoms died in five districts in the last two days .
The health authorities have collected samples from the deceased and sent them to the nearby Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) labs to be tested for Covid-19.
In Khulna, a 60-year-old man suffering from shortness of breath, died undergoing treatment at Dighalia Upazila Health Complex on Saturday, said Upazila Health Officer Dr Md Mahbubul Haque.
In Chandpur, a woman suffering from fever and cold, died hours after she was admitted to the isolation unit of 250-bed Chandpur Government General Hospital.
The 40-year-old woman of Chandpur town, breathed her last around 9:30pm on Friday, said Residential Medical Officer (RMO) Dr Sujauddowla Rubel.
In Bogra, a 45-year-old man suffering from pneumonia died at the isolation ward of Mohammad Ali Hospital on Friday, said Residential Medical Officer (RMO), Dr Shafiq Amin Kajol.
In Bandarban, a 26-year-old indigenous man, suffering from shortness of breath died at home in Sadar upazila on Friday, said Bandarban Civil Surgeon Dr Aong sui Pru.
In Pirojpur, a 50-year-old woman suffering from fever and cough died undergoing treatment at the isolation ward of Pirojpur district Hospital, said Residential Medical Officer(RMO) Dr Nizam Uddin.
