Hero Alom challenges Obaidul Quader for election

Popular YouTuber Hero Alom has challenged Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader to compete with him in Bogra-4 constituency.

Defeated independent candidate Hero Alom told this to the journalists after submitting a written application to Deputy Commissioner Saiful Islam on Sunday, demanding the re-counting of the by-election votes held in Bogra-4 (Kahalu-Nandigram) constituency.

Alam said that Quader insulted him by saying: “Hero Alom has become zero”. He asked the minister to compete with him for the Bogra-4 by-election with CCTV cameras to monitor and see who wins.

In this regard, the deputy commissioner (returning officer) said in the afternoon that there was no opportunity to re-count the votes taken in the EVM. However, machine tracing paper and other documents have been provided to Hero Alom.

Ashraful Hossen Alom alias Hero Alom said: “They did not complete my election results properly. I had my doubts about this. So, I have collected the results of all polling stations. In some centres almost all the candidates including me got abnormal votes.”

If the DC does not cooperate with him, Alom said that he would go to the Election Commission and even file a writ to the High Court if the commission does not help.
