The AEF executive committee members were present as observers during the occasion. The programme was inaugurated Saturday with the speech of Nafisa Khanam, AEF executive director. The first two days of the training covered introductory sessions on basic introductions such as introduction to internet, keyboard, laptop, power point, video and image download, inserting them into slides and video editing and cutting. Teachers were introduced to basic skills required for developing a creative digital content for class. The final day covered the presentation of the digital contents created by each teacher. On its second and final day, Jack Holbrook, consultant and directorate of Secondary and Higher Education Ministry of Education, Bangladesh, was present and shared his valuable time by delivering a speech. He took a session where he encouraged teachers to create active learning classrooms. The programme concluded with the distribution of certificates and crest to the participants. Holbrook, Nafisa and Jesmin handed over the awards to the participants. Nafisa announced that these trainees can visit AEF and use laptops provided by the office for their growth. She even assured that she would help and provide support anytime they want, regarding creating and practicing new digital contents. The teachers also shared their experiences and expressed their gratitude. It has been very long since the Ministry of Bangladesh made it mandatory to use digital contents in the classroom. No such training programmes however, were conducted to train teachers enough in this newer format of teaching contents. This training is expected to be helpful in enhancing the teachers’ capabilities, increasing the students’ interest towards learning and stimulate the quality of education in Agami supported schools. The training is indeed a tremendous initiative by AEF and it hopes to arrange this sort of training again in near future.
