As Eid-ul-Azha approaches, while cows are in high demand among Muslims, many opt for goats, sheep, and camels.
The Dhaka North and South city corporations have authorized several cattle markets in Dhaka for the convenience of city dwellers.
This year, 10 temporary cattle markets are being set up in the Dhaka South City Corporation area, along with a permanent market. Additionally, nine markets are set in the Dhaka North City Corporation area.
While cows and goats are available in these markets, there is a special market in Dhaka exclusively for those who want to sacrifice goats.
This unique market is located in the Armanitola area of Dhaka South City Corporation, specifically in the grounds of the old soap factory in the Kasaituli area.
In this special market, various breeds of goats are available, ranging in price from Tk5,000 to Tk1 lakh.
Additionally, the authorities offer raffle draw tickets to customers purchasing goats, providing an opportunity to win attractive prizes.
