A case has been filed against two Facebook users allegedly for spreading misinformation about Dhaka South City Corporation Mayor Sheikh Fazle Nur Taposh regarding the clashes at Dhaka's New Market.

Monirul Islam, personal assistant to Mayor Taposh, filed the case with Shahbagh police under the Digital Security Act (DSA) on Thursday.
The clashes between Dhaka College students and New Market traders began on April 18 and continued throughout the day on April 19, leaving two persons dead.
More than 50 people including journalists were injured in the violent clashes.
Over 1,300 people were booked in several cases filed in connection with the clashes.
