A schoolgirl was raped in Sonagazi upazila of Feni on Saturday.
According to sources, Moslem Uddin, 20, raped the girl after entering her house at night.
According to police sources, Moslem used to tease the ninth grader from RM Hat K High School in the upazila during her commute.
On Saturday, Moslem entered the victim’s house and raped her around 8pm, when her parents had stepped out.
Upon hearing the screamS of the girl, locals rushed to the spot and caught Moslem red handed. They handed him over to police after delivering a mass beating.
Sonagazi police station Officer-in-Charge Moazzem Hossain said Moslem has been sent to jail.
A case has been filed regarding the matter, the OC added.
