A Dhaka court on Sunday rejected the bail plea of BNP Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, in an explosion case filed with Pallabi Police Station in 2020.
Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Asaduzzaman on Sunday rejected the bail petition.
There are 13 accused named in the case, including Rizvi. Five people including Rizvi were present in the court on Sunday. The remaining eight people are absconding.
According to the complaint of the Pallabi police station, on February 22, 2020, Rizvi and several BNP leaders and workers blasted cocktails aiming to kill police in the capital's Pallabi police station.
Sub-inspector Rabiul Islam of the Pallabi police station filed the case.
