The High Court on Thursday ordered a stay on the Tk2.15 lakh fine by the Directorate of National Consumers Right Protection (DNCRP) on Shohoz for mismanagement in ticketing.
The court also asked why the order issued by the DNCRP on August 23, should not be declared invalid, said a press release.
Earlier, a customer named Biswajit Saha complained that he bought a train ticket Ullapara in the Sirajganj district through Shohoz.
However, when he got on the train, he saw some other passengers were sold the same seat he had purchased on June 29, reports Bangla Tribune.
On the basis of his complaint, on August 31, the DNCRP fined Shohoz of Tk2.15 lakh.
