Jatiya Party's former secretary general ABM Ruhul Amin Howlader has filed a writ petition with the High Court seeking the acceptance of his nomination papers.
Advocate AF Hasan Arif filed the petition on Sunday morning, reports UNB.
According to the report, the petition hearing is likely to be held by the bench of Justice Tariq ul Hakim and Justice Md Shohrowardi later in the day.
On December 7, the Election Commission upheld the rejection of the former Jatiya Party secretary general’s nomination because he had defaulted on his loans.
