The High Court has stayed an order on the government's decision to deduct five marks from medical admission examinees who are taking the test for the second time.
The High Court bench of Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Md Jahangir Hossain passed the order on Tuesday, reports UNB.
Besides, the court issued a rule – asking the authorities concerned to state why the government's decision to deduct marks from second time admission seekers would not be regarded as “illegal” and “unlawful.”
The health secretary, director general of Directorate General of Health Services, and four others have been asked to reply to the rule within four weeks.
Lawyer Yunus Ali Akhand moved the court on August 27 against the government's decision.
On Monday, the High Court set September 12 (Tuesday) to deliver the order on the government's decision after hearing of the writ.
