Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will leave for Myanmar on Monday on a two-day visit to attend the 3rd BIMSTEC Summit.
The summit will be held at the Myanmar International Conference Centre-II in Naypyidaw, the Myanmar capital, on March 4, foreign ministry sources said.
A VVIP flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the prime minister and members of her entourage will take off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 8am on Monday, reports BSS.
The flight is scheduled to reach Naypyidaw International Airport at 10:15am (Myanmar time).
A Union Minister of Myanmar and Bangladesh Ambassador to Myanmar Anup Kumar Chakma will receive Sheikh Hasina at the airport.
From the airport, she will be taken to Royal Naypyidaw Hotel, where she will be staying during her visit to Myanmar.
The Prime Minister will lead a 32-member Bangladesh delegation at the summit.
On the sidelines of the summit, Sheikh Hasina will hold bilateral meetings with her counterparts of the BIMSTEC member countries, including India, Myanmar, Nepal and Bhutan, the sources said.
She will also meet Speaker of Myanmar Parliament Shwe Mann and Chairman of National League for Democracy Aung San Suu Kyi.
The Premier will join a press conference for all heads of state and government of the BIMSTEC nations. She will also attend a dinner to be hosted by Myanmar President Thein Sien.
Sheikh Hasina is expected to return home at 9:10pm on Tuesday.
