A teacher of Milestone School and College was killed after falling from a motorcycle when she was hit by a bus and then run over by another in Dhaka’s Banasree on Wednesday evening.
The deceased was identified as Taspia Ahmed Tisha, 31, a teacher at the institution’s Aftabnagar branch. She was originally from Professor Para in Chandpur Sadar and lived in Meradia Noapara, Khilgaon.
The accident occurred in front of Farazi Hospital in Banasree at around 5:45pm, said Khilgaon police Sub-Inspector Anoy Chandra Pal.
He said Taspia fell from the motorcycle after being hit by a bus and was then run over by another. She died on the spot.
Police recovered her body and sent it to the Dhaka Medical College morgue for autopsy at around 9pm after completing the legal procedures.
Police seized both buses and detained their drivers and assistants, the SI said.
