Mymensingh bans motorcycles without license, helmet

The district administration in Mymensingh has imposed a ban on the movement of illegal and unfit vehicles, warning that strict action will be taken against anyone riding motorcycles without a valid driving license and helmet or operating other unauthorized vehicles on the roads.

The directive was issued by Saifur Rahman, the District Magistrate of Mymensingh.

According to an official notice, the decision was taken in view of the current global situation and to ensure a stable fuel supply while reducing public inconvenience. Under Section 32 of the Road Transport Act 2018, all unfit and unauthorized vehicles have been banned from operating within the district.

The administration has also urged motorists to refrain from riding motorcycles without valid driving licenses and helmets, as well as from operating any unauthorized vehicles on roads and highways across the district.
