The Election Commission (EC) has published the final voter list ahead of the upcoming 13th national parliamentary election.
This year, the total number of registered voters stands at 127,695,183.
Senior Secretary of the EC Secretariat, Akhtar Ahmed, shared the information with reporters on Tuesday, in front of his office at the Nirbachan Bhaban in Agargaon, Dhaka.
Akhtar Ahmed said: “The final voter list includes those who turned 18 by October 31 of this year. According to the final count, the total number of voters is 127,695,183. Among them, 64,814,907 are male voters, 62,879,042 are female voters, and 1,234 are from the Hijra community.”
On November 3, the EC had released the updated draft voter list.
