Individual taxpayers are likely to enjoy a higher tax-free income limit of Tk3,75,000 starting in the fiscal year 2026–27.
However, while the threshold is being increased, the tax rates in the corresponding income slabs will also be higher, according to official sources.
For the assessment year 2025–26, the tax-exempt threshold remains unchanged at Tk3,50,000 of annual income.
