A clash broke out between students of Dhaka College and City College in Dhanmondi, Dhaka, on Thursday.
The incident took place around 4pm.
Assistant Police Commissioner (Dhanmondi Zone) of Ramna Division, Shah Mostafa Tariquzzaman, said that initial reports indicate City College students assaulted two Dhaka College students around 4pm, sparking tensions between the groups.
Police attempted to disperse the students from the streets, but the situation remains tense, particularly in the Science Lab area.
A similar clash between Dhaka College and City College students took place at Science Lab on January 19.
