Interim govt doesn't shutdown any media outlet in Bangladesh

The Interim Government of Bangladesh didn't shut down any media outlet.

The government firmly believes in free press and freedom of speech, said a press release of chief adviser's Press Wing.

Notably, High Court ordered the suspension of the broadcast of private television channel Somoy TV for seven days on Monday.

On August 14, a petition was filed in court challenging the legality of the removal of Ahmed Zubair from the position of MD and CEO of Somoy TV.
