Bangladesh reported one more Covid-19-linked death and 61 fresh cases in 24 hours to Friday morning.
With the new numbers, the country's total number of fatalities rose to 29,472 and caseload to 2,044,301, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The daily infection rate dropped to 4.01% from Thursday's 4.89% as 1,522 samples were tested.
The recovery and fatality rates remained unchanged at 98.38% and 1.44%, respectively.
Bangladesh registered its highest daily caseload of 16,230 on July 28 in 2021 and the highest number of fatalities of 264 on August 10 the same year.
