Covid-19: Bangladesh records 2 deaths, 191 fresh cases

Bangladesh registered two new deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours till Friday morning.

Besides, in the 24-hour period, the country also recorded 191 new cases while seeing 145 patients recover, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The number of new cases was 257 the previous day, when three people died from coronavirus.

The latest additions took the country’s death toll to 28,043, the total caseload to 1,580,750 and the total number of recoveries to 1,545,259.

A total 16,310 samples were tested at 848 labs across the country during the 24-hour period, yielding a positivity rate of 1.17%.

According to the data, the country’s overall Covid-19 mortality rate until Friday morning stood at 1.77%, overall recovery rate at 97.75%, and the overall positivity lowered to 14.07%.
