The newly appointed president and general secretary of the central and Dhaka University units of Chhatra League, the student wing of the Awami League, are set to call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official residence, Ganabhaban.
Chhatra League President Saddam Hussain gave the information to Bangla Tribune on Thursday before leaving for Ganabhaban.
The full committee will be announced following the instructions of Sheikh Hasina, who is also the Awami League president.
He said: “We will start our organizational activities in light of the prime minister's instructions. The Awami League's council is creating enthusiasm among our young generation, especially the concept of a smart Bangladesh.”
When asked about the committee of Dhaka College, he said in places where there has been no committee for a long time, there must be an effort to bring in new leadership.
Dhaka University Chhatra League President Mazharul Kabir Shayan said: “We are now at the gate of Ganabhaban to meet the prime minister.”
