Bangladesh reported another death from Covid-19 and 445 new cases in 24 hours to Thursday morning.
The country's total number of fatalities rose to 29,389 with the new death, while the new cases raised the caseload to 2,031,451, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The daily infection rate dropped to 8.92% from Wednesday’s 9.57% as 4,978 samples were tested.
The latest deceased was a woman from Rangpur division.
The mortality rate remained unchanged at 1.45% and the recovery rate rose to 97.09%.
In September, the country reported 40 Covid-19 deaths and 13,251 cases.
Bangladesh registered its highest daily caseload of 16,230 on July 28 last year and its highest number of fatalities of 264 on August 10 of the same year.
