Bangladesh plans to start a trial run for the Covid-19 vaccine for children aged 5-11 on Thursday, Health Minister Zahid Maleque has said.
“After the trial run, full-scale vaccinations will begin from August 26,” he said at a program held in Dhaka on the occasion of World Breastfeeding Week 2022.
The health minister also said that the parents have to register on the Surokkha app to get their children vaccinated.
A total of 15,02,400 doses of the first batch of Pfizer vaccine, which is specially formulated for children between the ages of five and 11, arrived in Dhaka on July 30.
