North South University's Communication Club hosted the highly anticipated “Communicado-23” competition on June 6, 2023.
The event brought together students who showcased their innovative ideas and sought business-oriented solutions to real-world problems, according to a press release issued on Sunday.
The competition not only provided a platform for participants to exhibit their creativity but also offered valuable insights into effective communication skills and techniques to enhance advertising appeal.
Distinguished judges, including Mark Anupom Mollick, the esteemed founder and managing consultant of Idean Consulting, Mirza Muhammad Ileush, the founder of Brand Practitioners Bangladesh and Atique Akbar, the deputy general manager of Brand and Marketing Communications at Seven Rings Cement, presided over the event.
The competition unfolded in three stages, attracting the participation of 300 students from diverse universities.
The first stage commenced with a workshop that provided participating teams with an in-depth understanding of the competition's framework and objectives.
Subsequently, on June 2, the second stage witnessed the presentation of solutions and the demonstration of advertising acumen by students from 20 teams.
The third and final stage culminated in an award ceremony, honouring the remarkable achievements of the winners.
Claiming the coveted first prize was “Team Panic Attack”. Notably, “Team Digitaal” and “L Pensadors” secured the second and third prizes respectively. A gala dinner was organized, uniting the judges and the participants.
Energypack Electronics served as the title sponsor of the event, while additional support was provided by prominent sponsors, including Global Brand Private Limited, Leatherex Footwear Industries Limited, and Universal Medical College Hospital Limited.
