Purbachal Expressway to open for traffic in December

The long-awaited Purbachal expressway, from Kuril flyover point in Dhaka to Kanchan Bridge in Narayanganj, is expected to open for traffic in December this year as more than 85% of the construction work has been completed.

'Fragile' Gaza truce between Israel and Islamic Jihad holds

A "fragile" Egypt-brokered truce between Israel and Islamic Jihad fighters in Gaza appeared to be holding early Monday, raising hopes that the recent intense conflict that has left at least 44 Palestinians dead, including 15 children, has ended.

Govt to regionalize weekly closure of industries
