Tahsina Rushdir Luna, the wife of missing BNP leader M Ilias Ali, has been barred from flying to London.
Immigration Police at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport barred her from boarding on the flight of Bangladesh Biman on Sunday.
Confirming the matter, BNP Chairperson’s Press Wing Secretary Shairul Kabir Khan told the journalists: “Ilias and Tahsina’s eldest son Abrar Ilias recently completed his graduation from University of West England in London.
“Tahsina was flying to London to attend the convocation ceremony of her son.”
Ilias, former lawmaker and also BNP organising secretary of Sylhet Division, went missing on April 17, 2012 from Dhaka’s Banani area. He is yet to be traced by the law enforcers. This story was originally published in Bangla Tribune
