Minister Mozammel: Freedom fighters to get 3 more bonuses from July

Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque Huq has said the government planned to provide three more bonuses to the freedom fighters from July next. The minister came up with the announcement after inaugurating a new building for Chuadanga Muktijoddha unit in the district Wednesday morning. Addressing a discussion, he said: "Currently, the freedom fighters are getting two bonuses during two Eid festivals in a year and soon they will get three more bonuses on the occasion of the Independence Day, Victory Day and the Bengali New Year." Referring to the quota reform movement, the minister said: "Following the prime minister's announcement to cancel quota in government jobs, several thousand freedom fighters got hurt. “As the prime minister is now abroad, so we will place the demand of freedom fighters to her after her arrival." Chuadanga Deputy Commissioner Ziauddin Ahmed, Whip of Jatiya Shangshad Solaiman Haq, Superintendent of Chuadanga Police Mahbubur Rahman, among others, were present.
