US-Bangla plane crash: Families of victims reach Nepal

A special flight carrying the family members of the victims of the US-Bangla plane crash has reached Nepal. The flight carrying 46 relatives of the Kathmandu crash victims and seven officials of US-Bangla Airlines left Hazrat Shahjalal Airport around 9:02am on Tuesday. The special flight landed at Tribhuvan International Airport around 10:40am, reports the UNB quoting US-Bangla Airlines General Manager of Marketing (support) Kamrul Islam.

At least 50 people died as the aircraft carrying 67 passengers and four crew crashed at Tribhuvan International Airport on Monday. Many injured were rushed to nearby hospitals, officials added. The death toll remains unclear amid the chaos of the crash and the rush of badly injured victims to nearby hospitals. Brig Gen Gokul Bhandari, the Nepal army spokesman, said 50 people died and the fate of the others was unknown, reports AP.
