The Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) has ordered the suspension of bank accounts belonging to Syed Abed Ali, a former driver for the Public Service Commission (PSC) accused of leaking questions for 30 recruitment exams, including the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) exams.

Additionally, accounts belonging to his son, Syed Sohanur Rahman Siam, and another individual have also been ordered to be suspended.

The BFIU has also requested all information regarding these accounts.

On Tuesday, the BFIU froze their bank accounts and issued letters to banks and financial institutions stating that the accounts would remain frozen until the resolution of the related case.

A BFIU official said that the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the police has already arrested 17 people in connection with the question leak incident.

Among them, the accounts of Abed Ali and his son, along with another person, have been frozen and information has been requested.

With the help of various agencies, including the Anti-Corruption Commission, information on the other detainees is also being collected, and their bank accounts will be frozen as well.
