Eid-ul-Azha is being celebrated nationwide with the ritual sacrifice of animals in the name of Allah on Monday.
Cleaning workers from Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) have begun the task of removing animal waste in Dhaka.
In the areas under DSCC, the waste-cleaning activities from cattle markets began on Sunday night. On the day of Eid, waste removal from the markets continued, along with the cleaning of sacrificial animal waste.
Both mayors urged city residents not to dispose of waste wherever convenient.
