Shah Rukh Khan is set to return to the big screen in a completely new avatar, a grey-haired, cold-blooded mafia hitman, in his next film titled King.
The film’s first teaser, unveiled on SRK’s 60th birthday, has already ignited massive buzz, promising a darker, grittier action style for Hindi cinema.
Indian media reports suggest King is far more than a high-octane actioner.
Set deep within the criminal underworld, the film explores a tense guru–disciple dynamic, with SRK playing a deadly assassin who trains his protégé, portrayed by Suhana Khan in her big-screen debut.
The teaser features SRK in a dramatic makeover: silver hair, a sharp beard, tattoos, and a menacing presence.
In a chilling voiceover, he says: “Kitne khoon kiye, yaad nahi… unki aakhri saans ka ehsaas dekha. Aur main uski wajah.”
Quick cuts show him on a brutal killing spree, at one point wielding a King of Hearts card like a calling card — signalling a stylish, psychological gangster thriller woven with revenge and power.
With father–daughter pairing, a shadowy underworld setting, and SRK’s fiercest look yet, King is already shaping up to be one of Bollywood’s most anticipated films.
