A former teacher of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College, Mrs Alia Amin, has passed away on Friday.
She was 89.
Mrs Alia Amin breathed her last at the United Hospital, said a press release.
She was suffering from various old-age ailments.
Alia Amin was also the mother of a Freedom Fighter, as she lost her eldest son Alauddin Md Zaheen during the Liberation War of 1971.
She left behind a legion of devoted students who knew her to be a committed and compassionate teacher.
Alia Amin is survived by two daughters and a son, Sara Zaker and Sajeda Amin and Zahiruddin Alim.
