A man was killed and another injured when a bus collided head-on with a motorcycle at Bhulli in Thakurgaon Sadar upazila this morning.
The deceased, Chan Mia, 48, was the son of Yusuf Ali from Khalisha Kuri village in Debipur union. The injured, Md Sohel, is his relative.
The accident occurred in front of Mansur Ali Pump on the Panchagarh–Thakurgaon highway when a speeding passenger bus from Panchagarh hit their motorcycle. Chan Mia was crushed under the bus and died on the spot, while Sohel was seriously injured.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bhulli Police Station Saiful Islam Sarkar said efforts are underway to identify the killer bus. The victim’s son, Habibur Rahman, has filed a case under the Road Transport Act in connection with the incident.
