BNP’s Joint Secretary-General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi secured interim bail in four cases of violence from the High Court yesterday.
However, he will not be released from jail as he stands accused in eight other cases of similar charges.
The HC bench of Justice Rezaul Haque and Justice Mohammad Khasruzzaman gave the order after hearing his plea for bail. Rizvi was represented by Jainul Abedin while Deputy Attorney General Fazlur Rahman argued for the state.
