In a statement issued on Sunday, Abhay, the spokesperson, said the party was not against peace talks and laid down five conditions for a dialogue.

The CPI(M) demanded that the government accept the Maoist movement as political and reiterated for a lift on the ban placed on its frontal and mass organizations.

Thirdly, the “killers” of Azad, a top leader killed during peace talks in 2010, be booked and punished.
