Indian police have arrested 10 people in connection to the violent protest that broke out outside Jamia Millia Islamia University in India's New Delhi; however they said none are students.
Police sources said they conducted a night-long drive near the Jamia Nagar and Shaheen Bagh areas, and arrested them early Tuesday, based on the videos circulated during the anti-CAA protests, reports The Times of India.

“They’ve been booked for rioting and mob violence,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (southeast) Chinmoy Biswal said, reports Scroll.in.
The Delhi police will also look into claims that two students sustained bullet injuries during the crackdown in Jamia Millia Islamia University on Sunday.

The medical superintendent of Safdarjung Hospital told NDTV that two individuals were admitted there with bullet wounds, contradicting police’s statement that they did not fire bullets at the protesters.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court will hear petitions on Tuesday against police brutality towards students, who were holding protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act at the Aligarh Muslim University and the Jamia Millia Islamia, reports India Today.
