Indo-Bangla recitation festival begins in Tripura

A cultural organisation in Agartala, Tripura, christened “Sruti Sanskritik Sangstha,” is holding the third Indo-Bangla Recitation Festival, which has begun on Saturday and will continue till Sunday. Prominent elocutionists from India and Bangladesh are taking part in the event. A rally was organised as well to advertise this event across Agartala and spread the message of fraternity. The rally was flagged off by Tripura Member of Parliament Jitendra Chaudhury, and several eminent figures from Tripura, West Bengal and Bangladesh participated in it. Tripura’s Information and Cultural Minister Bhanu Lal Saha, Deputy Speaker of Tripura Legislative Assembly Pabitra Kar, Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Dr Prafullajit Singha, social worker Panchali Bhattacharya, the Assistant High Commission in Agartala’s Assistant High Commissioner of Bangladesh Mohammad Shakhawat Hossain and First Secretary Mohammad Moniruzzaman and Agartala’s Co-Operative Bank Urban Chairman Shankar Banerjee attended the festival. Prominent elocutionists such as Kazi Mahtab Suman and Abu Nachher Manik of Comilla, Mohammad Mujahidul Islam of Chittagong, Sukanta Gupta of Sylhet, Joydev Saha of Dhaka, Monir Hossain, Bachhir Dulal of Brahmanbaria, Souren Chatterjee, Swagata Chatterjee of Panshkura, West Bengal, Chandrima Roy of Kolkata, West Bengal, Joygobinda Debroy, Boidehi Bhattacharya, Boisamapayan Chakraborty, Bharati Moitra, Mujahid Rahman, Shekhar C Dutta, and K Sarita of Tripura are participating in the event.
