Update : 25 Apr 2013, 03:40 PM

Pakistan's former president General Pervez Musharraf was formally arrested in for the murder of Benazir Bhutto, Al Jazeera reported.

The former dictator will remain under house arrest in his farmhouse and is scheduled to appear in an anti-terrorist court tomorrow.

He was put under house arrest last Friday for having imprisoned five judges including the incumbent chief justive Iftekhar Ahmed Chaudhury during the last days of his rule back in 2007. After the court declared the arrest last Friday, Musharraf whisked off in his own transport in a dramatic fashion to his luxurious home in the suburbs of Islamabad.

Musharraf will remain at his Chak Shahzad farmhouse residence but will be produced at the anti-terrorist court in Rawalpindi on Friday, according to Dawn.com.
