Obama: Wouldn’t worry if Romney or McCain had won

Update : 26 Oct 2016, 12:34 AM
President Obama said: “There's something different about the way Trump has operated in the political sphere. I ran against McCain, against Romney. I thought I could do a better job, but they're both honourable men. And if they won, I wouldn't worry about generally the course of the country.” The US president slammed Trump as a candidate whose moral compass was definitely questionable. “But what we haven't seen before is somebody questioning integrity of elections and the will of the people — a politics based on putting down in very explicit terms, Muslim-Americans who are patriots, or describing women on a one-to-10 score,” Obama added. When he was asked whether he ever laughed at Donald Trump during the debates, the president said he did most of the time. He read out a tweet by presidential candidate Donald Trump that attacked Barack Obama and responded in kind. He responded with: “Really? Well, @realDonaldTrump, at least I will go down as a president.” He dropped the mic and walked away. The video can be watched on YouTube.
