Update : 08 Jan 2018, 07:08 PM

A small fire broke out on the roof of Trump Tower on Monday morning, Daily News reports.

Smoke was seen billowing off the top of the Manhattan skyscraper, carrying for several blocks.

Firefighters were called to the Fifth Avenue skyscraper, located at East 56thSt, at about 7:20 local time on Monday morning.

They quickly knocked the fire back, but firefighters are currently making sure it didn’t spread.

No injuries were immediately reported, and investigators are looking into what may have sparked the blaze.

While President Trump and the First Family now live in the White House, the commander-in-chief maintains a palatial apartment in the 58-story tower. Trump was in Washington at the time of the fire.
