Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa has said that Syria supports Lebanon in efforts to disarm the militant group Hezbollah.
Al-Sharaa said the ongoing conflict in the region is having “direct and serious repercussions” for Syria, reports UNB citing ALJAZEERA.
He also voiced support for the position of Lebanese President Joseph Aoun on disarming Hezbollah, stressing that Syria backs Lebanon’s approach on the issue.
The Syrian president added that his country maintains a firm stance in condemning all forms of aggression against the sovereignty of Arab states.
