The moon of the month of Dhul Hijjah, the 12th and final month in the Islamic calendar, was sighted in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.
Accordingly, the holy Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated in the country on the 10th of the month, which falls on Friday, June 6, the country's authorities announced on Tuesday, reports Gulf News.
This means that on June 4, pilgrims will assemble in the "Tent City" of Mina to begin the Hajj pilgrimage, a once-in-a-lifetime requirement for all affluent and healthy Muslims.
June 5 will be the day of Arafah.
