  • Negotiations have yet to yield a breakthrough even after months

Israeli strikes in the past 24 hours have resulted in at least 49 deaths and 69 injuries, according to the Ministry of Health in Gaza.

The healthcare system is under severe strain, and medical staff are overworked, prompting the Ministry to appeal for international medical teams to be granted access to the region, as reported by Al Jazeera.

Israel’s military offensive has killed at least 38,713 people, also mostly civilians, according to figures from the Gaza health ministry.

New strikes in the Gaza Strip have killed at least 17 people, according to Gaza health officials, as fighting continues without halt. Israel maintains that its operations are aimed at targeting Hamas.

Indirect negotiations to end the devastating war, facilitated by Qatar and Egypt with US backing, have yet to yield a breakthrough after months of discussions.

In May, US President Joe Biden presented a ceasefire roadmap proposed by Israel, which intensified the negotiations.

However, despite discussions held in Cairo and Doha, there has been no visible progress on implementing the roadmap.

The war has caused 90% of Gaza's 2.4 million residents to flee their homes.

Many have taken shelter in UN-run schools, six of which have been struck by Israeli attacks since July 6.
