A total of 21,320 Palestinians have been killed and 55,603 injured in Israeli strikes on Gaza since October 7, Gaza health ministry spokesperson Ashraf al-Qidra said on Thursday.
Al-Qidra added that 210 Palestinians had been killed in the past 24 hours.
Earlier in the day, Israeli forces pounded central Gaza by land, sea and air.
The UN health agency says thousands of people were trying to flee the fighting.
Israel remains resolved to wipe out the Palestinian fighter group Hamas in response to the fighter group's October 7 attack on Israel, despite international calls for a ceasefire and easing of a worsening humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.
