3 Bangladeshis killed in Saudi road accident

All of them were from Comilla and in their 20s

Three Bangladeshi expatriates from Comilla have been killed in a road accident in Saudi Arabia.

Faruk Khan, 25, his brother Md Parvej, 20, and Md Saddam, 21, died after the driver of their car lost control of the vehicle and it fell into a ditch in the Emirate of Al-Qassim Province around 5pm (Bangladesh time) on Thursday.

Two others in the car sustained critical injuries and are now on life support in a hospital.

They had been on their way to shop for groceries, the local union parishad chairman said.

Faruk and Saddam went to Saudi Arabia some three years ago, while Faruk’s brother Parvej went there around six months ago, added Dakshin Jhalam Union Parishad Chairman Md Ashikur Hiron.

Assistant director of the local Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training office, Debabrata Ghosh, assured of providing all kinds of support to the families of the victims to bring the bodies back to the country.
