Tulip Siddiq has received the “Labour Newcomer of the Year” award at the annual Patchwork Foundation Awards in Westminster.
The House of Commons Speaker John Bercow handed over the award to Tulip.
Tulip, in a Facebook post, said: “I was so proud to receive a certificate for Labour Newcomer of the Year and to speak to the brilliant volunteers about life as an MP.”Bangabandhu’s granddaughter Tulip was elected as Labour MP from the Hampstead and Kilburn constituency for the second time this year. She won the same seat in 2015.
