Police detained Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijit Dipke and two other party members aboard an aircraft shortly after it landed at Delhi Airport, ahead of the party’s planned protest at Jantar Mantar, reports NDTV.
Dipke went live on Instagram as police entered the aircraft. The video shows officers detaining Dipke, Sourav Das and Ashutosh Ranka inside the plane.
The footage captures a commotion as CJP members questioned the police over their decision to detain them before passengers had disembarked.
In the video, Dipke is heard telling female police officers: “You could have waited for us to step out. Come, arrest us. We are not afraid.”
