No Bangladeshi nationals injured or killed in Thailand earthquake

The US Geological Survey (USGS) fears that the death toll in Myanmar may exceed 10,000

The Bangladesh Embassy in Bangkok has reported that no Bangladeshi nationals were injured or killed in the earthquake in Thailand.

Bangladesh's Ambassador to Thailand Fayaz Morshed Kazi informed this on Saturday, reports Bangla Tribune.

The tremors from the earthquake in Myanmar reached neighboring countries, Thailand and Bangladesh.

While Bangladesh experienced little damage, Thailand has reported the death of nine people.

The ambassador mentioned that so far there have been no reports of any Bangladeshi nationals being injured or killed.

The earthquake in Myanmar has claimed more than a thousand lives.

Additionally, a multi-story building under construction collapsed in Thailand, with 49 people reported missing and 30 trapped under the rubble.

Notably, the death toll from the devastating earthquake in Myanmar has already surpassed 1,000.
