Amit Shah threatens action against Bangladeshi infiltrators

He threatened to hang them upside down

Update : 21 Sep 2024, 02:25 PM

Indian Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday threatened to deal with Bangladeshi infiltrators in Jharkhand by hanging them upside down once the BJP forms a government in the election-bound state.

While addressing a rally for the launch of the “Parivartan Yatra” in Sahibganj district, Shah said that the initiative would reach every village in the state by October 2 to convey a message of change.

Shah urged the crowd to help establish a BJP government in Jharkhand, reiterating his threat to address the issue of Bangladeshi infiltrators, reports The Telegraph.

He echoed previous comments from BJP leaders regarding the declining tribal population and the rising number of "Bangladeshi intruders" in Santhal Pargana.

“This land belongs to the tribals, but the number of intruders is increasing here. Tribals have decreased from 44% to 28%. Since intruders are the vote bank of the JMM, Congress and RJD, the government here is engaged in doing welfare of intruders instead of public welfare,” said Shah.

Shah alleged that slogans urging “Hindus to leave Jharkhand” were being heard in Pakur district.

Accusing the coalition government led by Hemant Soren of being the most corrupt in the country, Shah said: “The Hemant government has accomplished nothing but corruption. It is the most corrupt government in the nation.”

He questioned the crowd about the whereabouts of ₹350 crore, revealing that the money was found at the residence of Congress Rajya Sabha member Dheeraj Sahu.

“This money wasn’t for liquor; it belonged to the poor people of the state,” he said.

Shah also alleged that ₹35 crore was discovered at the home of a servant and personal secretary of former cabinet minister Alamgir Alam.

He accused the government of numerous scams, including ₹1,000 crore in MGNREGA fraud, a ₹600 crore land scam, a ₹1,000 crore mining scam, and a ₹40 crore liquor scam.
